SHOOMA [‘ʃumʌ/šuma] je umjetnička organizacija koju su osnovali plesna umjetnica Irma Unušić i likovni umjetnik Vedran Markulin. Inspirirana šumom kao savršenom ekološkom tvornicom, SHOOMA je zamišljena kao kreativna tvornica u kojoj se susreću i igraju ples i likovnost, kazalište i glazba te druga umjetnička područja s ciljem stvaranja i promišljanja zajedničkih inovativnih ideja. Glavni cilj organizacije je popularizacija suvremene plesne umjetnosti kroz kreaciju i produkciju plesnih projekata te organiziranje edukativnih programa. Umjetnička voditeljica organizacije Irma Unušić plesna je umjetnica koja radi u području plesne pedagogije, koreografije i izvedbe, a posebno se fokusira na rad za i s mladom publikom, inkluzivni ples te na inovativne izvedbene forme. Prvi uspješno realiziran projekt je interaktivna plesna predstava Astronauti premijerno izvedena 9.3.2018., s kojom su izvedena mnoga gostovanja diljem Hrvatske. Nastavak istraživanja interaktivne forme prenosi se u projekt Ninabu koji je zamišljen kao inovativna multisenzorna predstava za bebe od 3 do 18 mjeseci i njihove staratelje. SHOOMA svoje djelovanje jako usmjerava na razvoj plesnog kazališta za mladu publiku organizirajući raznovrsne projekte, sudjelujući u KLIKER platformi za razvoj suvremenog plesa za mladu publiku i surađujući s raznovrsnim umjetnicima/ama te drugim umjetničkim organizacijama.
SHOOMA [‘ʃumʌ / šuma] is an art organization founded by dance artist Irma Unušić and visual artist Vedran Markulin. Inspired by the forest, as a perfect ecological factory, SHOOMA is conceived as a creative factory where dance and art, theater and music and other artistic areas meet and play with the aim of creating and thinking about common innovative ideas. The main goal of the organization is to popularize contemporary dance art through the creation and production of dance projects and the organization of educational programs. The artistic director of the organisation, Irma Unušić is a dance artist who works in the field of dance pedagogy, choreography and performance, and especially focuses on working for and with young audiences, inclusive dance and innovative forms. The first successfully realized project is the interactive dance performance Astronauts, premiered on March 9, 2018, with which many guest appearances were performed throughout Croatia. The continuation of the research of the interactive form is transferred to the Ninabu project, which is conceived as an innovative multisensory show for babies from 3 to 18 months and their caregivers. SHOOMA strongly focuses its activities on the development of dance theater for young audiences by organising various projects, participating in the KLIKER platform for the development of contemporary dance for young audiences and collaborating with various artists and other art organisations.
