Solidarity and Resilience: How Can PAYA Survive in Times of Instability and Inequality

From The First Step platform is organizing a round table at the Festival of Professional Theatres for Children and Youth in Čakovec. The subject of the roundtable is the empowerment of Performing Arts for Young Audiences through strategies of networking, sharing and decentralisation. The roundtable will open up issues of struggle, resistance and survival of the sector through examples of good practice. Creating coalitions and informal networks, focusing on marginalised groups or rural areas and decentralisation are just some of the ideas, and the aim of this conversation will be to try to find new ways based on solidarity and resilience.

The roundtable is intended as an informal conversation, moderated by Anja Pletikosa, co-founder of the platform, dramaturg and cultural worker. The tour was designed and implemented by the regional platform From the First Step, and was financed by the Perform Europe program.
