The members of our platform presented regional theater for children and youth at the meeting of the Network of Slavic Countries and spoke about some examples of good practice in their countries. The Network of Slavic States is a newly formed body within Assiteja International, the global umbrella organization dedicated to theater for children and youth.
In addition, our representatives Sonja Petrović and Marija Backović attended the advocacy meetings of other networks – the Next Generation network, which is dedicated to residential activities for young authors, and the network of small countries, which deals with the development of theater for children and young people in Montenegro, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Cyprus and Iceland.
Finally, Anja Pletikosa took part in the panel Advocating Equal Access to Performing Arts in Schools, where it was learned from the examples of South Africa, Sweden, and Indonesia how to most effectively open the educational system to performing arts and influence the long-term and systematic development of the young audience.
